We are seeking a Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong background in metal fabrication processes like grinding, cutting etc. Note that this will be a contract subjected to renewal and possibly leading to a full time position.
Duties
- Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other materials from surfaces of metal products
- Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools
- Operate cutting saws to cut raw material (Tubes, Pipes, flat bars etc)
- Degrease and clean the parts
- Maintain a clean and safe work workplace while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Must be familiar with using hand tools like grinders, sanders, buffers etc.
- Must be Canadian citizen or Permanent resident
- Forklift license an asset
- Familiarity with machining processes is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
