Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality Activity-Based Training (ABT) and individualized neurorecovery programming.
- Complete client assessments, re-evaluations, and progress reviews using ReYu standards and evidence-informed practices.
- Develop, implement, progress, and adapt programs based on each client’s goals, abilities, and response to treatment.
- Continuously assess client performance and use sound clinical reasoning to maximize safety, function, and recovery potential.
- Safely assist with transfers, positioning, gait activities, therapeutic exercise, and specialized equipment.
- Complete accurate and timely session notes, assessments, and progress reports.
- Recognize and appropriately respond to changes in client presentation or potential safety concerns.
- Build positive, professional relationships with clients, families, caregivers, and team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe training workplace.
- Participate in team meetings, case discussions, training, and program development.
- Maintain and expand knowledge of neurological conditions, neuroplasticity, neurorecovery, and emerging evidence and technologies.
- Uphold ReYu’s standards for professionalism, safety, inclusion, and client-centred care.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Human Kinetics, or a related field.
- Current registration with the Alberta Kinesiology Association (AKA) in good standing, or eligibility for registration.
- Current Intermediate (Standard) First Aid and Heart & Stroke BLS certifications.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy,
physiology, biomechanics, exercise prescription, and movement assessment.
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding work, including transfers, positioning, and assisting clients with mobility.
- Ability to lift or assist with loads of up to 100 lbs, using appropriate equipment or team assistance when required.
- Strong communication, documentation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional, reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working independently.
- Experience working with neurological conditions or physical disabilities is an asset, but not required.
- CSCS, CSEP, ACSM, or other relevant certifications are considered an asset.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
