We are currently expanding our operations and are looking for experienced and professional Class 1 Owner Operators to join our team based out of Calgary, Alberta.

Job Overview

As a Class 1 Owner Operator with Orlicks Inc., you will support our transportation operations throughout Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatchewan, and surrounding service areas, depending on operational and customer requirements.

We are looking for dependable Owner Operators who take pride in their equipment, maintain a strong commitment to safety, and can provide professional and timely service.

Compensation

- Pay Rate: $52.00 per hour
- Consistent work based on operational requirements
- Owner Operators are responsible for their own operating expenses
- All applicable expenses incurred on behalf of the Owner Operator will be charged back to the Owner Operator
- Payment and applicable deductions/charge-backs will be outlined as part of the Owner Operator agreement

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate commercial equipment in accordance with provincial and federal transportation regulations
- Transport freight between Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatchewan, and other assigned locations
- Complete pickups and deliveries safely and within scheduled timelines
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Ensure freight is properly secured and transported safely




- Maintain accurate driver logs, trip documentation, and required paperwork
- Immediately report equipment defects, safety concerns, delays, or incidents
- Maintain equipment in safe and roadworthy condition
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding pickups, deliveries, delays, and operational requirements
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and customer requirements
- Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with customers, dispatchers, warehouse teams, and other drivers

Requirements

- Valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence
- Clean and satisfactory Commercial Driver’s Abstract
- Previous commercial driving experience
- Owner Operator with suitable and properly maintained equipment
- Strong understanding of commercial vehicle safety requirements
- Knowledge of Alberta and Saskatchewan routes is considered an asset
- Ability to complete required documentation accurately
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Dependable, safety-focused, and qualified
- Ability to work independently and follow dispatch instructions
- Must meet all company safety and compliance requirements
