Job Overview

We're seeking compassionate Registered Nurses (RN) or Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) with recent, hands-on experience in postpartum, labour and delivery, NICU, or pediatrics, to join our growing team providing Private Newborn Care to families across the GTA. In this Independent Contractor role, you'll bring your clinical expertise directly into private home settings, supporting families through the early weeks of parenting with hands-on newborn care, parent education, personalized care allowing parents to benefit from your extensive experience and knowledge of newborns.

This position focuses on helping families navigate the transition home with a newborn, with an emphasis on overnight support, ensuring infants are safe, nurtured, and well-cared-for while new parents recover and rest.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide attentive overnight newborn care, including feeding, diaper changes, soothing, and monitoring

· Provide breastfeeding, pumping and formula feeding support, guidance and

· Support the establishment of safe, developmentally appropriate sleep routines

· Offer education, reassurance, and emotional guidance to parents during the postpartum period

· Monitor infant health and escalate any concerns in a timely manner

· Uphold professionalism, confidentiality, and respect within client homes at all times

· Adhere to current best practices in newborn care and infant safe sleep

Qualifications & Requirements





· Active registration as an RN or RPN with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in positive standing

· Minimum 2 years proven experience with newborns and infants in a nursing or clinical caregiving setting, within the last 3 years (required)

· Strong communication skills and the confidence to coach new parents through infant care

· Compassionate, patient, and comfortable working independently in private homes

· Reliable availability for shifts across the GTA

· Valid CPR + C certification (with annual renewal)

A valid driver's licence and personal vehicle are preferred due to overnight shifts

· Legal eligibility to work in Canada (sponsorship is not available)

· Vulnerable Sector Check (current or willingness to obtain, renewed annually)

Hourly Rates: Hourly rate will depend on experience and qualifications. Highest rate of $50.00 per hour will only apply to RN candidates who are hired by clients as RN's and are providing direct nursing care subject to insurance coverage. A lower hourly rate will apply to any non medical role, AKA the night nanny role. These roles form the majority of the opportunities provided within the company but also form the busiest part of the business.

Experience: Recent professional newborn care experience: 2 years (required)
