Do you have a passion for developing and creating communications content and have experience in contributing to a variety of digital communications initiatives? If so, keep reading! Reporting to the Manager, Communications, the Communications Officer will be part of the team responsible for communications and marketing to CPA Alberta stakeholder groups, including Alberta CPAs. The Communications Officer creates content for a variety of CPA Alberta communication vehicles, develops communications plans and activities, and acts as a member of the CPA Alberta social media team.
CPA Alberta has offices in Edmonton and Calgary and provides hybrid Telecommuting opportunities (working from home a maximum of 3 days a week).

What you bring
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in marketing, communications, public relations, business, or related field with three to five years of related experience.
- Excellent expository and business writing and editing skills are essential.
- Experience in developing communication plans, contributing to digital and print communication initiatives, and crafting targeted messages are desired.
- Proven organizational, strategic, planning and implementation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience in communications analytics and tools.
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
What you will be doing
- Create content for various CPA Alberta communication vehicles; this will include but is not limited to E-newsletter articles, magazine articles, digital content, speaking notes or presentations and speeches, brochure and ad copy, social media platforms etc.
- Develop communication campaigns and content, including articles, emails, and posts.
- Develop, plan and implement communication strategies that support CPA Alberta’s in-person and virtual events, initiatives, and projects
- Compose,
write and edit communication materials as required.
- Liaise with stakeholders (e.g. Alberta CPA’s, cross functional teams, and vendors) to develop content and deliver project

Working Specifications
