Job Overview

We are on the lookout for an energetic Operations Manager with bakery and research & development (R&D;) experience to lead our production and innovation efforts. In this role, you will oversee daily bakery operations, ensure food safety standards are met, and drive product development initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a solid background in food preparation, baking, and kitchen management, eager to help us grow and improve our product offerings.

Duties

- Manage daily bakery and manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production.
- Oversee food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation practices to maintain compliance with industry standards.
- Lead research & development projects to create new baked goods and confectionery products, including recipe testing and refinement.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing training in decorating, food preparation, and packaging techniques.




- Coordinate with the quality assurance team to ensure all products meet safety and quality standards.
- Implement process improvements for baking procedures, packaging, and inventory management.
- Foster a positive team environment focused on collaboration, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

Experience

- Proven experience managing bakery or manufacturing operations within the food industry.
- Strong background in baking, cake decorating, and food preparation techniques.
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
- Experience in product development or R&D; within a culinary setting is a plus.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train staff in cooking, packaging, and customer service.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, food industry standards, and quality control processes.
