Out-of-School Care Educator & Class 4 Driver

We are looking for a responsible, caring, and reliable Out-of-School Care Educator & Class 4 Driver to join our team.

This position works with elementary school-aged children, approximately 5–10 years old, in our Out-of-School Care program.

Responsibilities:

- Pick up children from the elementary school after school
- Safely operate a 24-passenger bus and transport children from the school to our childcare centre
- Supervise and care for children throughout the OOSC program
- Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities, games, and learning experiences
- Support children with daily routines, transitions, and positive behaviour
- Maintain a safe, positive, and welcoming workplace
- Follow all childcare, transportation, and safety policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate attendance and transportation records
- Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and school personnel




- Work collaboratively with other educators and support the daily operation of the OOSC program

Qualifications – Required:

- Valid Class 4 Driver’s Licence – mandatory
- Valid Responsible Adult, ECEA, or ECE certification/qualification
- Valid First Aid certification
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children is an asset
- Clean driving record and strong commitment to child safety
- Reliable, responsible, and punctual
- Comfortable working with children ages 5–10
- Good communication and teamwork skills

Important: This position requires both driving and childcare responsibilities. The successful candidate must be comfortable safely transporting children in a 24-passenger bus and working as an OOSC educator. Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 per week
