Responsibilities

- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to deliver goods to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load security
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques, ensuring safe handling of goods with heavy lifting when necessary
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery receipts for record-keeping purposes
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly




- Follow all safety protocols during driving and loading/unloading processes to prevent accidents or damage
- Assist with securing loads and ensuring cargo is properly balanced for safe transportation

Requirements

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle operated
- Proven experience driving large trucks or similar heavy vehicles
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when loading or unloading cargo safely
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and route planning
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude on the road
- Ability to stay alert during long hours of driving and maintain focus on safety standards
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings or weekends if needed
