Join our dynamic team as an Oversized Truck Driver and take on the exciting challenge of transporting large, heavy loads across diverse routes to join our team in the Toronto & Southern Ontario region and also in the Thunder Bay area! Responsibilities

- Safely operate oversized trucks equipped to handle large, heavy loads across various routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. AZ License with a manual endorsement is required.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance before each journey
- Secure oversized cargo properly using appropriate restraints and equipment to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Perform heavy lifting tasks when necessary to load or unload cargo, utilizing proper techniques and equipment to maintain safety standards
- Plan optimal routes considering road restrictions, weather conditions, and delivery deadlines to ensure timely arrivals
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients,



and team members regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen issues during transit
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo details, inspections, and any incidents encountered during trips

Experience

- Proven experience operating large commercial trucks, specifically oversized or heavy-haul vehicles. Minimum 5 years experience is mandatory.
- Robust driving skills with a clean driving record and familiarity with road safety regulations for oversized loads
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment such as winches when needed
- Knowledge of route planning for oversized freight, including understanding of permits and road restrictions
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with dispatchers, clients, and team members effectively
