Duties
- Perform routine daily checklist to ensure cleanliness across various areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces to uphold high cleanliness standards (a contracted cleaning company will take care the most used areas)
- Conduct commercial cleaning duties such as trash removal, surface disinfecting, window washing, and floor care.
- Assist with basic facilities maintenance activities like changing light bulbs, repairing minor fixtures, and reporting larger repair needs to the appropriate teams.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and supplies inventory to ensure readiness for daily operations.
- Support safety protocols by inspecting facilities for hazards and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests or issues identified during routine inspections.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are kept in excellent condition and meet organizational standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience in cleaning &/or facilities maintenance is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying cleaning or maintenance needs.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently within a part-time schedule.
- Good communication skills to report issues clearly and work effectively with team members.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and safety procedures is a plus. WHMIS certification is an asset.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude toward maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
