Join our dynamic dental team as a Part-time Dental Hygienist in Victoria, BC!
Position Details
- Schedule: Tuesdays , Wednesdays and Two Mondays a month
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Patient Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Location: Downtown Victoria, BC
- Practice: One-dentist, 4-chairs modern dental office equipped with the latest technology
- Starting in October 2026 (flexible start date )
Duties
- Perform thorough periodontal debridement , including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist with dental examinations by taking and updating patient medical histories and documenting findings
- Support the dental team with chairside assistance during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Manage patient appointments efficiently using Tracker
- Maintain infection control standards and sterilize dental instruments according to protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions and ensuring a positive experience
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist license for British Columbia
- Proven experience in dental hygiene,
preferably with general dentistry and orthodontics knowledge
- Familiarity with Tracker , Itero .
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Bilingual abilities are considered an asset for serving diverse patient populations
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, skilled demeanor
