Join PALS as a Family Support Specialist, providing critical in-home support for families at risk. Focus on enhancing parenting capacity and overall family functioning through effective interventions.
In this full time position, the Family Support Specialist will work closely with families facing high-risk scenarios related to child welfare. You will design and implement personal support plans, advocate for clients, and connect them with essential community resources.
Your expertise will be vital in promoting child safety and supporting family stability in an urban context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver weekly support services to families facing crises
- Assess family situations and identify needs and risks
- Facilitate access to community resources and programs
- Advocate for clients in meetings and conferences
- Provide education on family functioning topics
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in social work with one year of experience
- Familiarity with urban living challenges
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- First Aid and CPR certifications required
- Current Canadian Criminal Record Check necessary
