We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented and resourceful People and Culture Coordinator to join our PnC Services team. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on HR administration, employee records, HRIS data, documentation and service delivery. The successful candidate will enjoy working with processes, keeping information accurate and complete, and following tasks through to completion.

You will support a broad range of People and Culture activities, including employment documentation, HRIS updates and reporting, onboarding and offboarding, employee inquiries, compliance administration and process improvements. This role is well suited to someone with approximately two years of experience in a similar coordinator, HR administrator or HR generalist role who is comfortable managing recurring administrative work while responding to changing priorities.

How Will I Make an Impact?

HR systems and services

- Prepare and process employee documentation, including promotions, transfers, manager changes and other employment updates.
- Process resignations and employee changes in the HRIS, ensuring records are complete and accurate.
- Maintain employee records and complete ongoing and ad hoc HRIS data audits.
- Generate standard HR reports and support employee data requests.




- Monitor and support workflows and approvals for employee-initiated HRIS changes.
- Prepare employment verification letters and other routine employee documentation.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities for independent contractors.
- Own the monthly D2L anniversary report and related notifications.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by updating checklists, documenting processes and identifying practical ways to improve how work gets done.
- Other duties as required.

Employee support and experience

- Respond to employee inquiries through the PnC Service Desk, PnC News Slack channel and shared email inboxes in a timely, qualified and helpful manner.
- Support the administration and maintenance of PnC requests, workflows and automations in Jira.
- Coordinate employee recognition activities, including the employee recognition bricks program.
- Maintain the PnC Spark site, including PnC FAQs and quarterly Spark badge administration.
- Manage the internal PnC birthday calendar, reminders and notifications.
- Support emergency weather and contact-page notifications to PnC Business Partners, as needed.

Onboarding and offboarding

- Support biweekly new-hire orientation sessions.
- Support new hires through the I-9 verification process and monitor completion of onboarding requirements.
- Conduct and analyze exit interviews, identify trends and escalate themes or concerns appropriately.

What you’ll bring to the role?

- A strong interest in and genuine comfort with detailed, recurring administrative work.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- A proactive, resourceful approach; you take ownership, look for answers and move work forward independently.
- Exceptional attention to detail, particularly when working with employee data, records and documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and service-oriented approach.
- The ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and follow-through.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an interest in improving processes and creating practical solutions.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
- Experience working with an HRIS (Dayforce preferred), employee information system,



case-management platform or similar database.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Basic experience with qualitative and quantitative reporting.
- Acumen with Artificial Intelligence Tools
- Knowledge of general HR practices, employee records administration and the handling of confidential information.
- Knowledge of employment legislation and human rights principles

Suggested Education and Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Office Administration or a related field.
- Approximately two years of experience in an HR coordinator, HR administrator, HR generalist or similar role.

D2L operates in a hybrid work environment, with expectation of at least 3 days per week from D2L's HQ in Kitchener, Ontario for this role This position is to fill an existing vacancy The expected base salary range for a new hire in this role is listed below. The annualized base salary offered is determined by each candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, training and experience. It is aligned to ensure both internal and external competitiveness using market data for the geographic location and industry.

As part of the total compensation at D2L the role may be eligible for additional benefits including a Wellness Subsidy, Equity Grants, Variable Incentive, and more.

Base Salary Range

$45,000—$60,000 CAD
