Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Casual Pharmacy Assistant/Delivery Driver to join our team at Forbes Pharmacy - Pandora in Victoria, British Columbia.

Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on candidate experience.

Pharmacy Assistant Responsibilities

- Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
- Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
- Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
- Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
- Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
- Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
- Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Delivery Driver Responsibilities:

- Perform pickups and deliveries of medications and medical supplies throughout Victoria
- Reports directly to the Pharmacy Manager
- Maintains the safety and security of all cargo
- Complete delivery documentation and ensure delivery slips are signed and submitted.
- Lifts and maneuvers large packages as required
- Maintains accurate records
- Carries out additional duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager

Qualifications:

- Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy is preferred
- Completion of a Pharmacy Assistant program is an asset
- Experience with Kroll software is considered a strong asset
- A valid provincial driver’s license and a clean driving record are required




- First Aid and CPR certification is required.
- Candidates will be required to use their own reliable vehicle for deliveries. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.
- Trustworthy and dependable, with a high level of professionalism
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments
- Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
- Ability to lift and maneuver large packages
- Ability to follow procedures and guidelines accurately
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Criminal Record Check required

Schedule:

- The store operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and Saturday, Sunday and Statutory Holidays from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Hours for this role are 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, scheduled as needed.
