Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Pilot Car Driver / Hotshot Driver to assist with the safe and efficient movement of oversize loads and time-sensitive freight. In this dynamic role, you will serve as the pilot escort for heavy or wide loads, ensuring compliance with safety regulations while providing excellent customer service. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help facilitate smooth transportation operations, supporting our commitment to timely deliveries and safety standards.

This Position is primarily based in Burns Lake or Prince George, but involves travel all over BC and Alberta.

This is a part time position.

Bonus Points for anyone who has the following experience or qualifications.

- Traffic control Ticket

- Experience Piloting
- Heavy Trailer endorsement.

Responsibilities

- Escort oversized or heavy loads through designated routes, ensuring adherence to all safety and traffic regulations
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, other drivers, law enforcement, and clients to coordinate movements and relay important updates
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of your vehicle, including lights, brakes, tires,



and safety equipment such as pilot lights and signs
- Assist with helping our trucks during loading and unloading procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by representing the company professionally during interactions with clients and authorities
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when required for securing loads or assisting with equipment setup

Experience

- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with pilot car operations
- Familiarity with moving oversized loads safely
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and external agencies
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and long periods of driving or standing
