Job Purpose: We are seeking a Pilot Press Supervisor to support the Pilot Press Department. Reporting to the Department Manager, this position is responsible for producing new samples for colour and pattern development and supporting Digital SR production.

Duties:

- Directly matching samples in both roto gravure and Digital media
- Directly match colours and patterns in roto gravure and finish samples in the desired gloss in both roto gravure and digital print.
- Responsible for the supervision of the press during production of samples.
- Responsible for the supervision/guidance of color matching performed by the Lead hand Pilot Press and Pilot Press Operator.
- Supervision and ensure proper cleanup is done by the Pilot Press Operator immediately after the completion of the task.
- Guidance of pilot press operators in their sample production.
- Development of new product work orders.
- Management of SR completion from base to shipping to customer.
- Responsible for creation of lab sample SR’s.
- Track and schedule the replenishment of inventory base rolls.
- Any other job that may be assigned by a manager.
- Responsible to observe all Morbern’s occupational health and safety rules.



This ensures your personal safety and the safety of others and assists Morbern in promoting safety at work for all employees.

Education:

- High School graduate (artistic aptitude)
- Specialized training in colour matching/colour computer
- Some knowledge of administration and health & safety Training in root cause analysis and 8D or similar processes
- Training in Lean Techniques, SMED and 5S

Qualifications

- Experience in administration and health & safety
- Strong color aptitude, per Morbern color aptitude test.
- Training in colour matching preferred.
- Finishing experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel);
- Must be available to work rotating shifts (weekends as required).

Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
