Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Pipe Layer/Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in installing underground piping systems, assisting with site preparation, and supporting heavy equipment operations. Duties

- Lay and install underground pipes using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and bucket trucks
- Assist with site excavation, trenching, and backfilling activities to prepare for pipe installation
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, low voltage equipment, and bucket trucks safely and efficiently
- Use rigging techniques to lift and position pipes accurately during installation
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safety and optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working around electrical systems, welding operations, and other hazards




- Support team members with general labour tasks such as material handling, site cleanup, and setup of work zones

Requirements

- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and low voltage systems
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools confidently and safely
- Basic electrical experience or familiarity with electrical systems is a plus
- Experience with rigging techniques for lifting heavy pipes or materials
- Knowledge of welding processes is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong physical stamina to perform demanding labour tasks in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards
- Experience with lift stations is preferred
