Plant & Yard Operations

Location: Creston, BC

Wage: Based on experience and qualifications

Position: Full time

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our team in a busy agricultural/hay operation in Creston.

This is a hands-on position involving plant and yard operations, equipment operation, inventory management, and general day-to-day support. The successful candidate will take pride in doing things properly, keeping accurate records, and maintaining a safe and organized workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate loaders, telehandlers and other equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with hay plant and yard operations
- Load, unload and move hay, materials and equipment
- Manage and maintain inventory of supplies, materials and products
- Keep accurate records and pay close attention to inventory levels
- Assist with receiving and organizing incoming materials
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area
- Follow company procedures and safety requirements
- Identify issues and communicate them promptly to management
- Carry out general farm, plant and yard duties as required

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Valid Class 1 driver's licence
- Experience operating a telehandler and/or loader
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with inventory management and record keeping
- Ability to work independently and take initiative




- Reliable, responsible and safety-conscious
- Good communication skills
- Agricultural, hay, trucking, equipment or plant experience would be an asset.

Important Workplace Requirements Because this position involves working directly around hay and agricultural products, applicants must be able to work safely in a hay-processing environment.

- Applicants with a significant hay allergy are not suitable for this position.
- This is a smoke-free workplace. Smoking, including during breaks or on the property, is not permitted.
