People for Pools Inc. is a family-owned, professional pool service and construction company based in Mississauga and serving the Greater Toronto Area. With over a decade of experience in the pool and spa industry, we provide professional pool service, maintenance, renovations and recent pool construction.

We are fully insured, professionally trained and a proud member of the PHTCC. Our services include pool openings and closings, weekly maintenance, equipment installations, liner replacements, renovations, and new pool construction.

Position Summary

People for Pools is hiring Pool Closing Helpers / Construction Helpers for the 2026 fall season.

This is a hands-on, physically demanding outdoor position. You will work alongside experienced pool technicians and construction crew members assisting with pool closings, renovations and construction projects throughout the GTA.

Previous swimming pool experience is not required. Training will be provided.

We are primarily looking for people who are dependable, physically capable, comfortable working outdoors and willing to learn.

Requirements

Applicants should

- Be reliable and arrive on time for every scheduled shift
- Be physically capable of performing demanding outdoor work throughout the day
- Be comfortable lifting and carrying equipment, materials and pool covers
- Be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Be able to follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a crew
- Maintain a professional attitude when working at customers' homes
- Be willing to learn proper pool closing and construction procedures
- Follow company safety procedures and use required PPE
- Have reliable transportation to and from our Mississauga shop





A valid G driver's licence and clean driving record are considered an asset, but are not required for all helper positions. Previous experience in pool service, landscaping, construction, concrete, plumbing or other outdoor trades is an asset but not required.

Duties Include

- Assisting technicians with pool closings and winterization
- Removing, cleaning, folding and storing pool equipment
- Assisting with installation of winter and safety covers
- Carrying pumps, hoses, tools, chemicals and other equipment
- Assisting with blowing and winterizing pool plumbing under the direction of a technician
- Cleaning work areas and helping crews keep jobs organized
- Loading and unloading company vehicles
- Keeping company vehicles, tools and equipment clean and organized
- Assisting construction crews with pool renovations and new pool construction
- Moving construction materials and equipment around jobsites
- Assisting with excavation, backfilling, plumbing, equipment installation and general site preparation
- Using hand tools and other equipment after proper training
- Following instructions from crew leaders and supervisors
- Following all company health and safety procedures
- Performing other general pool service and construction duties as required
