Our client is looking for an experienced Powder Coater / Powder Spray Painter to join their manufacturing team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on powder coating experience who takes pride in producing a clean, consistent, high-quality finish and can work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

About the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing metal components and applying powder coating while maintaining high standards for quality, finish, productivity, and safety.

We are looking for someone who has practical experience with powder spray painting and understands how to achieve proper coating coverage and finish.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare metal parts for powder coating, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface preparation
- Operate manual electrostatic powder spray guns and related coating equipment
- Apply powder coating evenly according to production and quality specifications
- Adjust spray gun settings, air pressure, and powder flow as required
- Ensure proper coating coverage, thickness, and finish
- Inspect coated parts for defects such as uneven coverage, runs, contamination, or poor finish
- Load and unload parts from racks or production lines
- Assist with changing colours and cleaning spray equipment when required
- Maintain powder coating equipment, spray booths, and work areas
- Follow production schedules while maintaining quality standards
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Work closely with production team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets

What We're Looking For

- Previous hands-on powder coating / powder spray painting experience is required
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial production environment
- Experience using an electrostatic powder spray gun
- Good understanding of powder application, coverage, and finish quality
- Ability to identify coating defects and make appropriate adjustments

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who has worked as a Powder Coater, Powder Painter, Spray Painter, Industrial Painter or Powder Spray Painter in a manufacturing environment. Experience working with metal parts, production lines, spray booths, electrostatic spray systems and high-volume production will be considered a strong asset.
