SOL Thermal is an Edmonton based company that manufactures removable insulation covers for valves and fittings primarily in the oil & gas industry across Western Canada. We are looking for an organized and dependable Production Coordinator to help coordinate the day-to-day flow of work through our growing manufacturing operations.

This position works closely with our field, drafting and production teams to make sure jobs move through the different stages of our process and are completed on schedule.

You do not need previous experience in removable insulation blankets. We will provide training on our products, manufacturing process and scheduling system.

We are looking for someone who is organized, comfortable working with different people, good at following up, and able to keep track of multiple jobs at once.

What You'll Be Doing

- Maintain and update the daily and weekly production schedule.
- Help determine which jobs need to be completed first based on due dates and customer requirements.
- Coordinate priorities between our drafting and production teams.
- Communicate upcoming work and priorities to our different production locations.
- Track jobs as they move from measurements and drawings through production and shipping.
- Follow up with team members to make sure jobs are progressing as scheduled.
- Help ensure drawings, tags and job information are ready before production begins.
- Identify jobs that may be falling behind and bring them to the appropriate person's attention.
- Help coordinate changes in priorities when rush jobs or unexpected issues come up.
- Keep job status and scheduling information organized and up to date.
- Track outstanding items, revisions, remakes and deficiencies.
- Communicate with field staff when additional information or measurements are required.
- Coordinate courier, freight and shipping pickups when required.
- Occasionally assist with local pickups or deliveries.




- Help management maintain a clear picture of what is being worked on, what is coming next and what needs attention.
- Assist with improving our scheduling and job-tracking processes as you become familiar with the position.

What We're Looking For Previous manufacturing or industrial experience is helpful but not required. More importantly, we're looking for someone who:

- Is organized and good at keeping track of multiple tasks, with strong attention to detail.
- Is dependable and follows through on things.
- Is comfortable communicating with shop, field and office staff.
- Has moderate computer skills and is comfortable learning current software.
- Is comfortable asking questions and following up when information is missing.
- Can adjust priorities when things change.
- Has good attention to detail.
- Has a valid driver's licence.
- Is fluent in communication in English (written/spoken)
- Has a proven ability to direct/lead others and delegate tasks appropriately
- Has great problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Is comfortable working with fiberglass insulation when needed

Wage: $20 to $25 per hour depending on experience and skills

Hours

Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 5:00pm, Friday: 7:30am-4:00pm (44 hours weekly)

Benefits are provided after a 3 month probationary period.
