About the role
Stage and control inventory supporting production batching and packaging, maintain accurate inventory transactions and counts, and keep materials properly stored and organized.
What you’ll do
- Stage and receive raw inventory to and from production batching and packaging.
- Use pump trucks, forklifts, and Raymond equipment to move materials and put away finished goods.
- Scan items in and out of bin locations, consume items against work orders, record output quantities where necessary, and track scrap quantities.
- Perform pre- and post-production raw-inventory counts or weights and inventory cycle counts.
- Report raw-material inventory discrepancies or damaged inventory and assist with investigations.
- Organize, tag, and wrap skids, and keep the raw-material warehouse clean and organized.
- Understand and follow storage requirements for finished and raw materials.
- Pull defective or expired material as instructed.
- Assist in receiving non-dangerous-goods finished and raw materials as a secondary task.
What you’ll bring
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- At least two years of manufacturing or warehouse experience, including the use of RF scanners and ERP systems.
- Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Good mathematics skills.
- Attention to detail, organization, and self-motivation.
- Counterbalance, reach-truck, and walkie certification.
- The ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
Work environment This role is primarily based in warehouse and production areas,
working around forklifts, material-handling equipment, stored raw materials including hazardous chemicals, and finished goods. Work follows production schedules and may involve changing priorities, noise, and handling chemical materials in accordance with established storage and safety procedures.
Physical duties include material handling, staging, skid wrapping, counting and weighing, and operating pump trucks, forklifts, and Raymond equipment. The role requires lifting more than 50 lbs and standing or walking for up to 7.5 hours per day.
