Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations to ensure production schedules, shipping deadlines, and operational targets are met.
- Lead, coach, and support warehouse employees by assigning work, monitoring performance, and providing ongoing training and guidance.
- Ensure all warehouse activities are completed safely and in compliance with company policies, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety requirements, and applicable health and safety regulations.
- Monitor workflow throughout receiving, storage, production support, and shipping to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate material movement to ensure production lines are continuously supplied with required raw materials and finished goods are processed efficiently.
- Conduct daily inspections of warehouse equipment, work areas, and inventory to maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace.
- Investigate operational issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Shipping departments to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of issues.
- Complete production reports and other operational records accurately and on time.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve warehouse processes, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, equipment issues,
or operational disruptions to minimize downtime and maintain workflow.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or packaging setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills with the ability to motivate employees and drive performance.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping and receiving, and production support activities.
- Working knowledge of GMP, food safety standards, and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience conducting employee training, performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and warehouse management or inventory systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional departments.
- Forklift certification or willingness to become certified is considered an asset.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, overtime, or weekends as required by operational demands.
Pay: $51,087.78-$93,164.28 per year
