New Boundaries Supportive Services
Program/Social Enterprise Support The New Boundaries Supportive Services Program/Social Enterprise Support objectives are to support New Boundaries Full-time Instructors as they support and provide opportunities for the Participants to participate in learning meaningful employment readiness skills, developing life and social skills and participating in recreational activities as well as working/supporting New Boundaries Social Enterprises.
New Boundaries Program/Social Enterprise Support staff will be committed to following the goals of Recent Boundaries Mission and Vision statements.
Responsibilities for New Boundaries Supportive Services Program/ Social Enterprise Support staff include the following but not limited to:
Work under the guidance of New Boundaries Supportive Services Instructors in providing support in the following areas:
Assisting with Skill development, Community Engagement, Employment readiness training, Coaching, Arts & Crafts, Light Exercise, Music, Self-Advocacy, Light Baking, Supporting Participants with individual choice for opportunities they like to learn and participate in.
Follow Health & Occupational Safety guidelines and support participants to follow proper safety procedures
Assist in supervision/monitoring program/lunch areas
Assist participants with daily living skills, as well as arrival and departure
Help out with E-Waste, Testing, Garbage and Waste removal
Accounting duties of printing off the x and z readings, counting tills and recording cash deposits, credit/debit slips and overages and shortages.
Work with Amigo’s Online Auction staff to give opportunities for the participant to be engaged in Amigo’s online auction.
Some tasks include following the auction process of participate in picking items, posting items, recording winners and posting ends tonight
Participate in all activities associated with Amigos, daily cash, stocking shelves, pricing, organizing, hanging clothes and duties associated with the Furniture barn, working the cash, printing off X and Z readings
Stocking store shelves, pricing items in the Furniture Barn and items in the store. Keeping the store fully stocked at all times as well as clean, orderly and organized and items are clean and displayed in a presentable manner
Wholesaling the clothes as to the color code system set up,
Working with the Instructors and Facility Workers to ensure the Furniture Barn is organized
Ensure social enterprise and social enterprise areas are cleaned and swept every day
Sort items that are brought into Recent Boundaries
Complete other duties as assigned

Speak, listen and write in a clear through and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication
Be responsible and mentor good team support to all members of New Boundaries, work cooperatively, resolve problems that align with New Boundaries objectives.
Demonstrate flexible, efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
Prior experience in working with Individuals who have an intellectual or physical disability
Have the ability to follow directions and make sound decisions
Be responsible, team player and a mentor to participants
Focus on Participant Needs: Anticipate, understand and respond to the needs of the participants to meet or exceed their expectations within the New Boundaries mission statement
Organizational Skills: Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals and track details, data and information and activity
Demonstrate willingness to learn and build Amigo’s customer base
Assist customers and visitors in a professional manner
Ensure a safe work environment is maintained and report any deficiencies to executive director
Inform supervisor of supplies that are needed
Complete day to day duties within the approved mission and policies of New Boundaries
Follow effective business management processes for program, as outlined and approved by management
Participate in fundraising activities for the center
Participate actively as part of the staff team, in a positive, team centered approach to problem solving. Give input and feedback to the entire staff and management, through observation, staff meetings, and other effective means
Attend and participate in team meetings as well as participate in staff training sessions
Work Environment; Day/Hour Requirements:
New Boundaries Supportive Services is a place where participants choose the opportunities, they wish to engage in.
New Boundaries Social
Enterprises are a platform for our staff to provide meaningful employment readiness skills experiences for the participants of New Boundaries. Participants will be engaged in different aspects of skill development in the store and in the program area. The Program/Social Enterprise support staff will work cooperatively with all staff of New Boundaries as well as fostering positive skill development with the participants of New Boundaries.
Amigo’s is open 7 days a week, with the following schedule
- Sunday —12—5 pm
- Monday — 9—5 pm
- Tuesday — 9—5 pm
- Wednesday — 9—5 pm
- Thursday — 9—6 pm
- Friday — 9—6 pm
- Saturday — 9—5 pm
The Program/Social Enterprise Support staff member will be responsible for working flexible shifts of the above schedule. New Boundaries Supportive Services Program/Social Enterprise Support will report to either New Boundaries Program Supervisor or the Executive Director.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Pay: $18.50 per hour
Work Location: In person
