Project Coordinator – Commercial Glazing

About Us - Pinnacle Glass and Aluminum Ltd. is a growing commercial glazing contractor serving projects throughout British Columbia. We specialize in architectural glazing systems for commercial, institutional, multi-family, and custom projects.
Our work includes curtain wall, window wall, storefront systems, aluminum entrances, glass canopies, fiberglass windows and doors, and other architectural glazing applications.
We are looking for an organized and motivated Project Coordinator to join our team and support the successful delivery of multiple commercial glazing projects from award through completion.
The Role - Working closely with our Director, Project Manager, Estimators, field teams, suppliers and clients, the Project Coordinator will help keep projects organized, documented, scheduled, and moving forward.
This position is ideal for someone who understands commercial construction, is comfortable managing multiple priorities, and wants to develop deeper technical knowledge and grow within the glazing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Director and Project Manager with the coordination of commercial glazing projects from award through closeout
- Review project drawings, specifications, scopes of work, contracts, and other project documentation
- Coordinate shop drawings, submittals, samples, RFIs, and approvals
- Maintain drawing logs, submittal logs, change documentation, project correspondence, and electronic project files
- Assist with material take-offs, purchasing, procurement, and material tracking
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers regarding pricing, lead times, fabrication, and deliveries
- Communicate with general contractors, consultants, suppliers, installers, and internal project teams
- Assist with project schedules and coordinate upcoming site requirements with field crews
- Track project changes and assist with the preparation and documentation of change orders
- Help monitor project costs, purchase orders, commitments, and project-related invoices
- Support progress billing by gathering required project information and backup documentation
- Attend project meetings as required, record action items, and follow up to ensure they are completed
- Assist with site coordination, deficiencies, inspections, and project closeout
- Identify potential scheduling, material, drawing, or coordination issues and escalate them to management
- Support project management and field operations with day-to-day project requirements
Qualifications
- 2+ years of project coordination experience in commercial construction is preferred
- Experience in commercial glazing, curtain wall, window wall, storefront, building envelope, architectural metals, cladding, windows and doors, or a related construction trade is a strong asset
- Ability to read and understand architectural and construction drawings
- Familiarity with construction specifications, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project schedules
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfortable communicating professionally with general contractors, consultants, suppliers, field personnel, and clients
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
- Experience with construction or project management software is an asset
- Valid driver's licence and ability to visit project sites when required
Direct glazing experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong commercial construction experience and an interest in learning architectural glazing systems are encouraged to apply.

The right person will be organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable asking questions. You should be able to recognize when something requires attention and follow up before it becomes a larger project issue.
You should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment where priorities can change and multiple projects may require attention at the same time.
Compensation & Benefits
- $31.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience

Work Location -Surrey, BC – In person This is primarily an office-based position with occasional travel to active project sites throughout the Lower Mainland and surrounding areas as required.
