Wage: $23.72/hour Field Rate also comes with Shop and standby Rate

Status: Full-time, Non-exempt

Reports to: Pump Operations Manager Direct Reports: None

Travel Required: 100% Schedule: 28 days on/14 days off rotation including nights, weekends, and holidays

Pump Operations Technician I The Pump Operations Technician I works alongside the Pump Operator and is responsible for supporting the safe and productive operation of on-site fluid pumping equipment. This role includes rig up/down, operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance of Deep Well Services (DWS) owned or leased pumping equipment in field environments while ensuring all company safety standards, procedures, and operational expectations are met.

Key Duties

Assist with rig up and rig down of pumping equipment at customer locations, including hoses, pump iron, cabling, grounding, and related components

Operate pumping equipment safely and efficiently, including valves, bleed-offs, and pumps

Understand flow direction and pressure in flow lines; safely release and contain pressure as required

Monitor, inspect, and adjust pump equipment during operations and modify pumping rates as instructed

Take ownership of DWS equipment by ensuring proper use, maintenance, storage, and cleanliness

Perform basic equipment maintenance, including checking and maintaining fluid levels, filter systems, and lubrication

Maintain a clean and organized work area free from spills,



leaks, and housekeeping hazards

Communicate clearly and effectively with crew members regarding pressure locations, valve positions, and operational status

Safely operate forklifts and aerial lifts in accordance with company and regulatory standards

Follow all lockout/tagout procedures by ensuring hazardous energy is isolated and pressure is fully relieved prior to maintenance or service

Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements

Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Position Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED required

Experience: No prior pumping services experience required

Mechanical aptitude or oilfield exposure preferred

Skills & Abilities

Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen





Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in shop and field environments

Willingness and ability to travel extensively and work in non-traditional environments

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Constant standing; frequent walking

Occasional sitting, climbing, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending, and reaching

Frequent handling and gripping

Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifting over 50 lbs.

Frequent pushing and pulling
