Overview:

The Quality Coordinator / Inspector supports CTSM's Quality Management System (QMS) by conducting field inspections, assisting with audits, and managing quality records and subcontractor documentation. Reporting to the Quality Lead, the role helps ensure maintenance and operational activities on the ECLRT are completed in accordance with approved procedures, inspection requirements, contract obligations, and applicable standards.

This position works independently in the field, identifies and reports quality issues, and communicates findings and recommendations to the Quality Lead and operational teams in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Field Quality Inspections

· Conduct routine quality inspections of maintenance activities across the ECLRT network, including rolling stock, track, stations, and related systems.

· Verify that work is completed in accordance with approved procedures, specifications, and safety requirements.

· Document inspection findings, identify quality concerns, and report issues to the Quality Lead.

NCR / CAR Support

· Assist in identifying, documenting, and tracking non-conformances and corrective actions.

· Support follow-up activities to ensure corrective actions are completed and properly documented.

· Maintain NCR and CAR records and escalate overdue items as required.

Audit Program Support

· Assist with the planning and execution of internal and external quality audits.

· Gather records, prepare documentation, and support audit activities as directed.

· Help track audit findings and corrective actions to closure.

Subcontractor Quality Support





· Review subcontractor quality documentation for completeness and compliance with project requirements.

· Participate in inspections and quality monitoring activities involving subcontractor work.

· Report quality concerns related to subcontractor activities to the Quality Lead.

Quality Documentation & Records Management

· Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and related documentation in accordance with CTSM document control requirements.

· Ensure quality records are complete, accurate, and readily retrievable.

· Support the preparation of quality reports, metrics, and performance data.

Communication & Reporting

· Provide timely updates on inspection activities, non-conformances, audit findings, and quality concerns.

· Liaise with operations, maintenance, and subcontractor personnel on quality-related matters.

· Participate in quality meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Reporting and Administration

· Maintain accurate inspection records, audit documentation, and quality reports in accordance with CTSM requirements.

· Update quality tracking logs, including NCRs, corrective actions, and audit findings.

· Support the preparation of quality metrics, reports, and performance summaries.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

· Diploma or certificate in Quality Assurance,



Engineering Technology, Construction, Transportation, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Minimum 1–3 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, inspection, maintenance, construction, or a related workplace.

· Working knowledge of quality management principles, inspection processes, and document control practices.

· Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001 and experience supporting audits is considered an asset.

· Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, drawings, specifications, and inspection records.

· Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic document management systems.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence is considered an asset.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

· Regular travel between ECLRT stations, facilities, and work sites.

· Frequent field inspections in active maintenance, station, track, and systems environments.

· Exposure to noise, dust, construction activities, and varying weather conditions.

· May be required to work occasional evenings, weekends, or off-hours to support inspections, audits, or operational requirements.

Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
