About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for troubleshooting product failures, developing and executing comprehensive test plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive measures.
Your technical expertise will support our ongoing innovation efforts, helping us maintain our reputation for excellence in the industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electro-mechanical systems, quality assurance processes, and manufacturing technologies, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance or related fields is essential.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with data acquisition systems, sensors, actuators, mechanical assembly, and proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications. Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, welding, and additive manufacturing is highly desirable. Familiarity with 3D modeling software like SolidWorks and experience with electro-mechanical testing tools will be advantageous.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot product failures by analyzing root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop, write, and execute detailed test plans to identify failure modes and verify product performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address quality issues and implement preventative measures.
- Provide Non-Conformance Report (NCR) and 8D documentation for failure analysis and resolution.
- Communicate technical updates and findings to customers and internal teams effectively.
- Design and develop test fixtures and software solutions to streamline testing procedures and improve efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain accurate records of quality data, test results, and corrective actions for audit and review purposes.
