VAC Developments Ltd is a growing Canadian Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing Company in a clean, air conditioned facility and we are looking for a Receiving Inspector to join our Quality Department.

GENERAL FUNCTION

Inspect raw materials, hardware and outside processing upon receipt. Verify supplier and manufacturing documentation for conformance to requirements. Complete inspection records and report nonconformities when found.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Performing raw material and hardware inspection with respect to specifications & requirements
- Performing receiving inspection of products from the outsourced special process
- First off and batch inspection
- Record key dimensions, surface roughness, hardness, and conductivity
- Complete assembly job cards for compliance to specifications
- Responsible for documenting non-conformances on appropriate forms
- Use various mechanical inspection equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and thread gages for inspection
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department and the organization
- Participation in solving non-conformance issues and implementing corrective actions
- Participate in safety training and comply with all safety regulations
- Participate in continuous improvement teams as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- University degree or College Diploma in related field is preferred.




- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality or equivalent combination of education and experience required or a minimum 5 years of experience as a receiving inspector in the manufacturing sector.
- Preference given to those with experience in the aerospace and defense industries.
- Intermediate knowledge and experience using MS Office (Excel. Word).
