Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Red Seal Plumber/Gasfitter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and gas systems across a variety of commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that all work complies with safety standards and building codes, delivering reliable solutions that keep our clients’ systems running smoothly.

Responsibilities

- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with blueprints and schematics
- Perform gasfitting tasks such as connecting gas lines, testing for leaks, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to execute precise installations and repairs
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques safely and efficiently
- Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems to optimize performance
- Collaborate with construction teams to assemble plumbing components and ensure seamless integration into building structures
- Follow all safety protocols, document work performed through detailed reports, and communicate effectively with team members and clients

Requirements

- Valid Red Seal certification as a Plumber/Gasfitter with relevant licensing in your jurisdiction
- Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, maintenance, and gasfitting within construction or maintenance environments
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by familiarity with HVAC systems and schematics reading
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and perform heavy lifting safely
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical drawings
- Construction experience with a focus on plumbing system assembly and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations related to plumbing and gasfitting
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in schematic interpretation and system diagnostics
