Responsibilities

- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong dental health.
- Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments with professionalism and precision.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management software such as Dentrix.
- Provide support with orthodontic care, including patient education on aligners or braces when applicable.
- Ensure the dental operatory is prepared, sterilized, and organized for daily patient appointments.





Requirements

- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
- Proven experience working in a dental office setting, preferably with pediatric and adult patients.
- Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care and patient records.
- Previous experience in dental assisting is advantageous but not mandatory.
