Role Description The Resident Manager Couple role is a full-time, on-site position located in Halifax, NS, responsible for the day-to-day management of a residential property. The couple will oversee leasing activities, respond to resident inquiries, coordinate move-ins and move-outs, and ensure units and common areas are clean, secure, and well-maintained.

Daily tasks include conducting property inspections, managing minor maintenance requests, monitoring building security, and reporting larger repair needs to appropriate teams. The couple will also collect rent, issue notices when required, maintain accurate records,



and support compliance with company policies and housing regulations. This role involves working closely with residents to address concerns, foster a positive community atmosphere, and uphold MetCap’s standards of service and professionalism.

Qualifications

- Experience in residential property management, building operations, or related housing services.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, handle inquiries, and resolve resident issues respectfully.
- Basic maintenance and repair abilities, including troubleshooting common household issues and coordinating professional services when needed.
- Organizational and administrative skills, such as record-keeping, rent collection, and managing leases and notices.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a couple, share responsibilities, and manage time effectively in a busy residential environment.
- Comfort working with diverse populations and a commitment to providing an inclusive, fair, and respectful living environment.
- Reliability to be on-site as needed, including some evenings and weekends, and respond promptly to urgent building or resident concerns.
- Previous experience in multi-unit residential housing or hospitality is an asset; familiarity with basic property management software is beneficial.
