Group is seeking an experienced Director of Accounting, Multi-Family to lead and oversee the accounting and financial reporting functions for our multi-family residential portfolio. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and effective collaboration with internal stakeholders. The Director will lead, mentor, and develop a team while partnering closely with Operations, Finance, Tax, and Executive Leadership.

Lead, manage, and develop the multi-family accounting team, ensuring high performance and adherence to best practices Establish and maintain solid internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures Act as a key accounting liaison to senior leadership, asset management,



and property operations Ensure timely and accurate bank reconciliations and balance sheet reviews Review and present monthly revenue and expense variance analyses in collaboration with Property Management Oversee cash flow analysis, distributions, and reporting to ownership Oversee rental revenue, recovery billings, and tenant account accuracy in accordance with lease terms Resolve escalated tenant billing issues and disputes Tax, Compliance & Audit Oversee HST filings and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations Support internal and external audits, including coordination with auditors and preparation of required documentation Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies Capital & Fixed Assets Review landlord work and tenant improvement accounting Oversee depreciation, fixed asset schedules, and related reconciliations Systems & Process Improvement Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes, systems, and reporting tools Partner with Finance and IT on system enhancements and implementations Work closely with Lease Administration, Property Operations, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Tax, Finance, and Legal teams Provide accounting guidance and support to operational teams as needed 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant experience in multi-family residential or real estate/property management accounting ~ Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting expertise ~
