About ServiceMaster Restore of Victoria

ServiceMaster Restore of Victoria is a locally owned and operated restoration company serving homeowners, businesses, property managers, strata corporations, and insurance partners throughout Greater Victoria.

Our team responds to water, fire, and other property losses, helping our customers through what can often be a stressful and unexpected situation. We take pride in providing qualified service, quality workmanship, and respectful care of our customers’ homes, businesses, and belongings.

We are currently looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team as Restoration & Contents Technicians.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in doing a job properly, works well as part of a team, and understands the importance of treating a customer's property and belongings with care.

No two days in restoration are exactly the same. Depending on the project, you may assist with water-damage mitigation, contents handling and packing, demolition, site cleaning, equipment setup, furniture moving, warehouse duties, and general restoration labour.

Previous restoration, construction, moving, warehouse, cleaning, or contents experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

As a Restoration & Contents Technician, your responsibilities may include:

- Assisting technicians and project managers on water and property-damage restoration projects

- Removing damaged building materials and completing light demolition

- Performing debris removal, job-site cleanup,

and general restoration labour

- Assisting with the setup, movement, cleaning, and removal of restoration equipment

- Packing, inventorying, moving, loading, and unloading customers' contents

- Carefully wrapping and protecting furniture and personal belongings

- Moving furniture and contents through homes, condos, commercial properties, elevators, and stairways

- Assisting with contents cleaning and specialty cleaning when required

- Loading and unloading company vehicles and cube trucks

- Maintaining clean and organized vehicles, equipment, warehouse areas, and job sites

- Following company health and safety procedures

- Communicating professionally and respectfully with customers and team members

- Supporting both the Flood and Contents teams based on operational needs

- Completing other restoration-related duties as required

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

- Comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the day

- Able to safely lift and move furniture, equipment, and building materials

- Careful and respectful when working inside customers' homes and businesses

- Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions

- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

- Professional when interacting with customers

- Willing to learn new skills and restoration procedures

- Adaptable and comfortable working at different job sites throughout Greater Victoria

Requirements

- Ability to perform physically demanding work

- Reliable transportation to work
- Ability to work full-time

- Criminal record check upon hiring

- Previous restoration, construction, demolition, moving, warehouse, cleaning, or related experience is considered an asset

- Experience driving a van or cube truck is considered an asset

What We Offer

- $20–$25/hour, depending on experience

The Right Person

Technical experience can be taught. What matters to us is finding people who are dependable, take pride in their work, and understand that we are often entering someone's home or business during a difficult situation.

The right candidate will notice the freshly painted wall, protect the hardwood floor, handle a customer's belongings carefully, keep the job site organized, and leave the customer feeling confident that their property was in good hands.
