Job Overview

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate & Social Media Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will assist customers in the store, maintain merchandise and displays, support daily retail operations, and help promote the business through social media.

The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service skills, be comfortable using social media platforms, and have an interest in promoting African and international food products.

Key Responsibilities

Retail Duties:

- Welcome customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
- Assist customers in finding products and provide information about products when needed.
- Operate the cash register and process cash, debit, and credit transactions.
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain attractive product displays.
- Check product prices, labels, and expiry dates.
- Receive and organize inventory and assist with restocking.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Assist with opening and closing store procedures.
- Handle customer questions and concerns professionally.
- Follow store policies and health and safety procedures.

Social Media & Marketing Duties:

- Help promote the store and its products on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.




- Take photos and short videos of products, promotions, and store activities.
- Create and post engaging content to attract customers and increase awareness of the business.
- Help advertise new products, special offers, discounts, and events.
- Respond professionally to customer comments and messages on social media.
- Help develop creative ideas to increase the store's online presence and customer engagement.
- Monitor social media trends and suggest new promotional ideas.

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 15.0 per week
