Duties
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using various hand tools and equipment
- Prepare work sites by measuring, cutting, and fitting materials according to blueprints and project specifications
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials, shingles, plywood, and other supplies safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate placement of roofing components
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing standards are met
- Use carpentry skills for framing, trimming, or reinforcing roof structures as needed
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
Requirements
- Proven experience with hand tools, carpentry, or general construction work is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and work at heights safely
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and construction plans
- Handyman experience or familiarity with building repairs is a plus
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety protocols and detail-oriented craftsmanship
- Willingness to learn new skills related to roofing techniques and materials
- Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation to job sites
