CAREER PATH
SDR → Sales Representative
This role begins fully in-office to support hands-on coaching and ramp-up, with hybrid flexibility available for proven performers after the first 90 days.
About Lionheart Sports
Lionheart Sports is a Canadian sports apparel partner working with schools and athletic programs across the country. We are established in several sports and are now accelerating our growth across a multi-sport platform.
We are executing an ambitious multi-year growth plan built around two priorities: expanding existing school relationships across more sports and winning current school partnerships. We recently secured a major partnership supplying Beach Volleyball Canada — evidence that our next stage of growth is already underway.
We are now building the sales team that will fuel that growth — and this role is an important entry point into it.
The Opportunity
As a Sales Development Representative, your job is to create qualified sales opportunities for Lionheart. You will identify high-fit schools and programs, connect with coaches and Athletic Directors, understand upcoming needs and build the pipeline that our sales team converts into revenue.
You will work directly with the Founder and gain hands-on exposure to prospecting, qualification, account strategy and the commercial side of a growing Canadian sports brand.
What You'll Do
● Research and identify high-fit schools, Athletic Directors, coaches and sport programs across Canada
● Generate new opportunities through targeted outbound outreach, including email, phone and disciplined follow-up
● Expand existing client relationships across additional sports and programs
● Reactivate past school customers and accelerate warm opportunities
● Run a concise needs assessment to understand timing, product requirements and decision-making
● Maintain accurate CRM records and provide clean, well-contextualized handoffs to the sales team
● Build disciplined prospecting habits and learn the foundations of full-cycle selling
What Success Looks Like
This is a pipeline-building role. You will be measured primarily on the quality and consistency of the opportunities you create.
● Consistent generation of qualified sales opportunities
● Strong conversations with coaches, Athletic Directors and other decision-makers
● Growth opportunities identified within existing school accounts
● Disciplined follow-up, CRM management and pipeline accuracy
● Increasing ability to understand customer needs and move qualified opportunities toward a sales handoff
Your Pathway to Sales Representative
We are not hiring an SDR simply to keep someone in lead generation. We want to develop future Sales Representatives.
A high-performing SDR who demonstrates consistent pipeline creation, strong customer conversations, commercial judgment and disciplined execution will have a clear opportunity to progress into a Sales Representative role — taking ownership of accounts, managing opportunities through the sales cycle and closing business.
As Lionheart scales, we expect our sales organization to grow with it. For the right person, this role can be the starting point of a much larger career opportunity.
Who We're Looking For
● Competitive, ambitious and motivated by measurable results
● Confident communicating by phone, email and in person
● Highly organized and able to manage a high volume of prospects without losing the details
● Resilient — comfortable with follow-up, rejection and earning the next conversation
● Curious and coachable, with the desire to become excellent at sales
● Genuinely interested in sport, teams and the school athletics environment
● Self-directed and comfortable taking ownership rather than waiting for instructions A competitive sports background is a strong asset. We care more about drive, communication, discipline and potential than finding someone with a perfectly conventional sales résumé.
Experience
● 1–3 years of experience in sales development, outbound sales, customer-facing business development, recruiting,
account support or a similar environment is preferred
● Experience in sport, apparel or school-based sales is an asset
● CRM experience is helpful; training will be provided on Lionheart's sales process and systems
Compensation & Growth
● Base salary: $55,000 CAD
● On-target earnings: $80,000–$95,000+ CAD
● Performance-based variable compensation with uncapped earning potential
● Clear pathway to a Sales Representative role for strong performers The detailed performance and incentive structure will be discussed during the interview process.
Why Join Lionheart?
● Join at a point where the company is actively building and scaling its sales organization
● Work directly with the Founder and learn how opportunities become revenue
● Represent a Canadian brand with an established reputation in team sport
● Help expand Lionheart from its rugby roots into a broader multi-sport school partner
● Earn greater responsibility and income as your ability grows
