Candy Prom & Evening | Shops at Don Mills

Candy Prom & Evening is looking for a confident, reliable, and highly organized Team Lead to support our Shops at Don Mills location.

This person will act as the main point of contact for the store and help ensure the location is running smoothly day to day. The Team Lead will work closely with management while providing direction and support to the sales team on the floor.

This is a hands-on leadership position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking initiative, solving problems, leading by example, and making sure our standards are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for the Shops at Don Mills location
- Communicate store updates, concerns, staffing issues, client situations, inventory needs, and operational matters to management
- Lead the sales floor and provide direction to team members throughout the day
- Help keep the team focused on daily and monthly sales goals
- Support stylists with difficult clients, objections, closing sales, and escalated situations
- Ensure every customer receives a high level of service consistent with the Candy Prom & Evening experience
- Help motivate the team during busy periods and maintain a positive, productive environment
- Assign and follow up on daily responsibilities, including cleaning, organizing, steaming, merchandising, and store maintenance
- Ensure dresses are properly returned to the floor, zipped, sized, organized, and presentation ready
- Monitor opening and closing responsibilities and ensure store procedures are being followed
- Help manage appointment flow, walk-ins, fitting rooms, and customer traffic during busy periods
- Assist with training and supporting new team members
- Identify performance or behavioural concerns and communicate them promptly to management




- Help ensure company policies, dress code, phone policies, attendance expectations, and customer service standards are followed
- Support inventory organization, receiving, transfers, and communication regarding missing or needed merchandise
- Communicate maintenance, mall, security, or store-related concerns when necessary
- Be comfortable making reasonable day-to-day decisions while knowing when an issue needs to be escalated

Previous retail leadership, keyholder, senior sales, or supervisory experience is strongly preferred. Role Expectations The Team Lead is expected to treat the Don Mills location as their responsibility while they are on shift.

You will be the person management can contact for a clear understanding of what is happening in the store, including team performance, sales activity, operational concerns, client issues, and anything requiring follow-up.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to develop into a stronger retail leadership or management position while remaining actively involved in sales and the customer experience.

Pay: $19.00-$29.00 per hour
