SAP IS-U – Billing Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Billing Lead to join a large-scale SAP Utilities transformation initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in SAP IS-U Billing , including billing configuration, rate/tariff processes, invoicing, billing master data, and integration with other SAP IS-U components.

The Billing Lead will be responsible for leading functional design, configuration, testing, integration, and delivery activities while working closely with business and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead SAP IS-U Billing functional design and implementation activities.
- Configure and support SAP IS-U Billing processes.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP IS-U Billing solutions.
- Work with billing master data, billing processes, invoicing, and related business functions.
- Support configuration of billing-related processes including rates, tariffs, operands, schemas, and billing rules.
- Work closely with Device Management and Meter Reading teams to ensure accurate billing processes.
- Support integration between Billing, Device Management, Customer Service, FI-CA, and Work Management .
- Prepare functional specifications and work with technical teams on enhancements and interfaces.
- Lead SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities.
- Support data migration, validation,



and reconciliation activities.
- Troubleshoot complex billing issues and provide root-cause analysis.
- Participate in business workshops and requirements-gathering sessions.
- Provide functional leadership and mentoring to SAP IS-U team members.
- Support production deployment and post-go-live activities.
- Maintain functional documentation and provide knowledge transfer.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong hands-on experience with SAP IS-U Billing .
- Solid understanding of SAP Utilities business processes.
- Experience with SAP IS-U billing configuration.
- Strong understanding of billing schemas, rate categories, rates, operands, and billing rules .
- Experience with invoicing and integration with downstream financial processes.
- Experience working with SAP IS-U Device Management and Meter Reading.
- Experience with requirements gathering functional design, testing, and production support.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience leading SAP IS-U implementation or transformation projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Utilities industry experience is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Utilities / SAP IS-U .
- Experience with FI-CA integration .
- Knowledge of complex utility pricing, tariffs, and rate structures.
- Experience with large utility transformation programs.
- Ability to work remotely with periodic travel to Vancouver, BC.
