About the Position

Picard Peanuts is looking for a friendly, dependable, and enthusiastic Seasonal Retail Associate to join our retail team for the busy Christmas season!

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, staying busy, and being part of a fast-paced retail environment. Our seasonal team plays an important role in helping customers find their favourite Picard products and gifts during the holiday season.

Responsibilities

- Provide friendly and helpful customer service
- Operate the cash register/till and accurately process cash, debit, and credit transactions
- Handle money responsibly and ensure transactions and change are accurate
- Assist customers with product questions and recommendations
- Stock and organize shelves and displays
- Receive and put away incoming merchandise
- Assist with gift boxes, gift items, and seasonal displays
- Package customer purchases as needed
- Keep the store clean, organized, and welcoming
- Assist other team members during busy periods




- Follow all company policies and health and safety procedures

Requirements The ideal candidate will be:
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with customers
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced retail setting
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working on a till and handling cash/money
- Able to accurately count cash and provide correct change
- Comfortable standing and remaining active for the majority of the shift
- Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Able to multitask and work well under pressure
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
- Available to work Friday through Monday, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Previous retail, cash-handling, or customer service experience is an asset

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
