Roga Contracting Ltd is seeking a CPA to join our team as Senior Accountant. This is a key finance role supporting a diverse group of indigenous businesses with operations in forestry, heavy construction and major infrastructure work.

Roga Contracting Ltd is a 100% Indigenous-owned private company headquartered in Kamloops, BC. Since 1973, Roga has delivered forestry, civil construction, utility and major infrastructure projects across British Columbia on its own, or in partnership with various indigenous organizations.

The Senior

Accountant will work within a large, positive and collaborative team. The role offers meaningful exposure to complex, project-based operations and a clear opportunity to grow into broader financial leadership responsibilities.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a CPA who has strong accounting fundamentals and wants to work closer to operations. The Senior Accountant will take ownership of recurring reporting and analysis, support the month-end cycle and help improve the information available to project managers and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, working papers and monthly financial reporting.

· Support project accounting, job-cost reviews, work-in-progress reporting and variance analysis.

· Assist with budgets, forecasts, cash-flow reporting and management analysis.

· Review financial and operational data for accuracy and follow up on discrepancies.

· Support invoicing,



receivables, intercompany accounting and equipment reporting as required.

· Help prepare audit schedules and respond to year-end requests.

· Develop practical reports and process improvements for the finance and operations teams.

· Provide guidance to junior accounting and administrative staff when required.

Qualifications

· Must possess a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant designation in good standing.

· Approximately three or more years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting and account analysis.

· Experience with project, cost or job accounting is preferred; construction, forestry, utilities or heavy-equipment experience is an asset.

· Strong Excel and accounting-system skills, with careful attention to accuracy and deadlines.

· Clear communication, sound judgment and a team-oriented approach.
