Vision Talent is supporting a financial services client who is seeking a Senior AI Engineer – AWS / Automation / Agentic AI to join their growing team. This is a permanent role and requires 2 days/week on site in downtown Toronto (very close to Union).
Overview
We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join a growing Corporate AI team responsible for delivering innovative AI solutions across the organization. The team has evolved from delivering traditional AI use cases to building machine learning-driven and agentic AI solutions that create measurable business value. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about emerging AI technologies, enjoys experimenting with new tools and frameworks, and stays current with the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI and automation solutions using AWS services and modern AI technologies.
- Build intelligent workflows, AI-powered applications, and agentic AI solutions to solve complex business problems.
- Evaluate emerging AI frameworks, models, and tools, recommending new technologies that can enhance the organization's AI capabilities.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into production-ready AI solutions.
- Integrate large language models (LLMs), machine learning services, and enterprise applications into scalable solutions.
- Develop reusable AI components, automation frameworks, and best practices to accelerate future delivery.
- Contribute to architectural decisions, technical standards, and the evolution of the organization's AI platform.
- Mentor team members and foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning, or AI solution development.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including AI/ML offerings such as Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and related cloud-native services.
- Experience building automation solutions and integrating enterprise systems through APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Experience working with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or AI orchestration frameworks.
- Exposure to agentic AI concepts, autonomous workflows, or AI agents.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with modern software engineering practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
- Experience with vector databases, knowledge retrieval, and AI observability tools.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure AI services and multi-cloud environments.
- Experience deploying AI solutions into production within enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code.
