We're an Ottawa-based accounting firm looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our growing team. We believe in developing our people. Responsibilities:

- Handle monthly bookkeeping for a portfolio of client files, including A/R, A/P, payroll, and bank/credit card reconciliations
- Liaise directly with clients to gather information, resolve questions, and provide updates
- Prepare and file government remittances (GST/HST, payroll source deductions, WSIB, EHT)
- Communicate with the CRA on clients' behalf regarding remittances and compliance matters




- Support the team with ad-hoc bookkeeping projects as needed

Qualifications:

- 3–5+ years of bookkeeping experience, ideally across multiple client accounts
- Solid working knowledge of MS Office, and experience with QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and/or Xero
- Attention to detail and a careful, accurate approach to your work
- Ability working under pressure and hitting tight deadlines
- Willingness to put in extra hours during peak season
- Fluency in English and Chinese is an asset
