About The Role In FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance segment, we focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial, and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders. We are a global consulting firm with over 8,000 employees worldwide with a team of over 100 employees located in every major Canadian market. We operate in small engagement teams to provide direct hands-on experience to our clients.
What You’ll Do The Senior Consultant will work with clients in domestic and multinational companies across various and diverse industries. Some of the job responsibilities will include:
- Oversee the day-to-day financial activities of restructuring and/or transactions advisory engagements
- Apply business, accounting, finance and analysis skills to various client situations and practice disciplines
- Review financial statements and perform quality of earnings/cash flow analysis
- Prepare and/or review complex financial projections to model business plans, processes and/or transactions
- Assess business plans, cash flows, and analyze large amounts of data associated with restructuring plans
- Conduct financial due diligence and financial analysis of clients and potential target companies
- Understand all aspects of the client’s business including review of operational and financial performance
- Draft written reports and/or presentations on the project scope, findings and/or results of activities
- Work with the client’s senior management, restructuring / legal / finance experts on work engagements
- Manage the engagement team and provide coaching to junior team members

Basic Qualifications
What You Will Need To Succeed
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related field
- 3+ years of relevant post-graduation qualified work experience
- Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed up to 60%
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred, along with relevant experience in a professional services environment such as public accounting or consulting
- Strong understanding of financial statements, corporate functions, and finance
- Advanced problem-solving and issue-resolution skills with the ability to adapt to changing client needs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional report writing
- Advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint skills, with a strong interest in finance and professional services

Compensation Minimum Pay: $92,000 Maximum Pay: $142,000
Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role. Actual compensation is determined based on a wide array of relevant factors including market considerations, business needs, and an individual’s location, skills, level of experience, and qualifications .
