We're looking for a full time marketing technologist who is equally at home with people and platforms, someone ready to own client relationships, lead marketing automation strategy, and push the boundaries of what AI can do inside a modern marketing stack. This is a hybrid role (2 days in office) based in Toronto, with regular in-person collaboration and client meetings, so strong presence and interpersonal skills matter as much as technical depth.

This is a key role on our team. You won't just execute campaigns, you'll be a trusted face of Portage to our clients and a driver of how we build.

What You'll Do

- Lead client engagements — serve as a primary point of contact for client marketing teams, guiding automation strategy and building trusted, senior-level relationships
- Build and manage marketing campaigns across platforms like Marketo, Eloqua, AEP, and Braze
- Support email, push, and in-product messaging workflows end to end
- Harness AI to work smarter — use AI to optimize and automate marketing workflows, build agents to handle repetitive operational tasks, and set up MCP integrations that connect our tools and data into streamlined, intelligent pipelines
- Shape customer experiences through journey mapping and lifecycle strategy
- Own deliverables — driving quality, accuracy, and on-time execution across accounts
- Set up dashboards and reporting to track performance and prove campaign impact

- What We're Looking For

- 2–5 years of hands-on marketing operations or automation experience
- Marketo experience strongly preferred; familiarity with Eloqua, Braze, or AEP is a plus
- Strong communication and leadership skills - confident interfacing directly with clients,



explaining technical ideas clearly, and taking ownership of relationships and outcomes
- Curiosity and fluency with Artificial Intelligence (AI) - excited to use AI tools, build agents, and experiment with automation to make marketing operations faster and smarter (experience setting up MCPs or agentic workflows is a real advantage)
- Confident working with data, metrics, and optimization
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and client-focused
- Based in or near Toronto, with availability for regular onsite and client meetings
