About the Opportunity

We have an exciting contract opportunity for a Senior Mortgage Administrator to support our residential and commercial mortgage servicing teams. In this role, you will be working with a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial mortgages, ensuring smooth and efficient servicing for borrowers, investors and internal stakeholders. You will be responsible for document preparation, detailed mortgage related calculations, and interactions with our legal counsel, service providers and clients.

Your contributions will be vital to our mortgage administration process.

We are looking for a motivated professional who has a sharp eye for detail, is well organized, tech-savvy, with accounting experience and brings the drive to consistently deliver top-notch service. You will be working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment that values teamwork and merit.

This opportunity is currently hybrid and in-office a minimum of 2 days per week in downtown Toronto, and the in-office requirement will increase over time based on business needs.

Please note that this is a temporary fixed-term contract position with an anticipated duration of 12–14 months. The final contract length will be determined based on the successful candidate’s start date and business needs.

Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000.

The posted salary reflects the expected range for this position; final compensation will be based on experience, expertise, and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

· Leading post-funding activities including drafting welcome letters, the initial setup and maintenance of mortgage records, renewals and discharges, and ensuring seamless operations and client satisfaction.

· Addressing client and broker requests for crucial documents like information statements, payout statements, and discharge documents.

· The initial setup and maintenance of mortgage records, including crafting precise payment schedules for clients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.





· Ensuring property taxes on mortgaged loans remain up to date, mitigating risks and maintaining compliance.

· Preparing payment reports on arrears, discharges and executing payment runs.

· Compliance with lender standards and conducting insurance policy renewals.

· Inputting and verifying mortgage data in the mortgage system.

· Preparing detailed annual statements and audit confirmations.

· Thoroughly reviewing legal final reporting documents for loan closings, ensuring regulatory compliance.

· Managing workload effectively to meet tight deadlines.

· Maintaining an in-depth understanding of the company's procedures, legal guidelines, and available resources, staying ahead of industry developments and best practices.

· Special projects and tasks as requested.

Desired Qualifications:

· Undergraduate degree, preferably in Finance or Business Administration.

· 2-3+ years of mortgage servicing or other relevant financial services experience.

· Knowledge of mortgages/loans and real estate is preferred.

· Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

· Accounting designation is an asset.

· Exceptional attention to detail, problem solving and decision-making skills.

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

· Knowledge of Mortgage Automator is an asset.

· Effective presentation, communication (verbal, written), and interpersonal skills.

· Proven ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands, and solve complex problems.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ownership, accountability,



and professionalism.

· Demonstrated ability to collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, team-oriented setting.
