About the Role:

West Coat Painters Inc. is seeking a skilled Senior Painter to join our growing team in Kelowna and West Kelowna. This position is focused on high-quality interior/exterior painting and fine finish work across residential and commercial projects—with a heavy emphasis on kitchen cabinet refinishing.

PLEASE NOTE: We are seeking a dedicated painting trade specialist. General construction, carpentry, or general handyman experience will not qualify for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform fine finishing on kitchen cabinets, trim, and detailed woodwork using airless and HVLP spray systems.
- Complete thorough surface preparation (sanding, scraping, filling, caulking, priming, and masking).
- Apply specialized wood finishes, stains, lacquers, and paints for residential and commercial spaces.
- Oversee site quality control, adhere to safety standards, and follow strict project timelines.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and guide or support junior painters when required.
- Maintain, clean, and service spray equipment and keep job sites clean and secure.

Requirements:

- Minimum 3 to 5 years of dedicated skilled painting experience.
- Demonstrated experience operating spray equipment, specifically airless and HVLP fine finish systems.




- Proven track record in cabinet/kitchen surface preparation and fine finishing.
- Strong knowledge of surface prep techniques, wood products, stains, and safety standards.
- Physically capable of manual labor (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, repetitive movement).
- Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable personal transportation to travel between job sites is strongly recommended.

Pay: $38.50-$45.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
