Full-Time Senior Server The Oxley — Yorkville, Toronto The Oxley is seeking experienced Full-Time Senior Servers to join our front-of-house team.

The Oxley is a busy, high-volume, established Yorkville restaurant, operating seven days a week for lunch and dinner, with a strong focus on genuine hospitality, excellent food and beverage, and knowledgeable, professional service.

We are looking for experienced Servers who are comfortable working in a consistently busy environment while maintaining strong service standards, attention to detail and genuine hospitality.

If you have not previously worked in a comparable high-volume, full-service restaurant with strong food, wine and service standards, this position is not for you.

This is also a primary, full-time serving position. We are looking for professionals who want The Oxley to be their primary restaurant commitment—not a second job fitted around another schedule.

The Role

Senior Server at The Oxley is a position of responsibility, trust and leadership on the floor.

You will be expected to:

- Confidently manage a busy section from start to finish
- Deliver warm, attentive and knowledgeable service
- Maintain excellent food, menu and beverage knowledge
- Confidently discuss and recommend wine
- Make thoughtful food and beverage recommendations
- Understand ingredients, preparation and common dietary requirements
- Maintain strong table awareness and anticipate guest needs
- Recognize and respond to service issues before they become problems
- Maintain composure and service standards during high-volume periods
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen, bar, hosts and management
- Support Junior Servers and less experienced team members
- Assist elsewhere on the floor when required
- Take ownership of the guest experience rather than waiting to be directed

At The Oxley, great service extends beyond your own section. Senior Servers are expected to understand what is happening across the floor and contribute wherever they are needed. Wine & Beverage Knowledge A solid working knowledge of wine is required for this position.





You do not need to be a sommelier, but you must be comfortable discussing wine with guests and helping them confidently choose a bottle or glass.

You should be able to:

- Discuss major grape varieties, regions and wine styles
- Understand the basic characteristics of Old World and Current World wines
- Recommend wine based on a guest's preferences, food selection and budget
- Confidently present, open, pour and serve wine
- Speak naturally and knowledgeably about the wines you recommend
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of spirits, beer and classic cocktails

Wine knowledge will form part of the Senior Server interview and assessment process.

Availability & Commitment

This is a full-time Senior Server position intended to be your primary serving job.

The Oxley operates seven days a week for both lunch and dinner,



and we are looking for Senior Servers who can make the restaurant a meaningful part of their weekly schedule.

We are looking for

- Availability for four or more shifts per week
- Availability across both lunch and dinner services
- Strong weekday and weekend availability
- Flexibility as business and scheduling needs change
- A genuine commitment to being part of the regular full-time team

The greater your availability, the stronger your application will be. This position is not intended for someone looking for occasional shifts or trying to fit The Oxley around another full-time restaurant schedule.
