Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Tax Accountant.

The Senior Tax

Accountant will prepare and review complex U.S. federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities include managing tax compliance calendars, researching tax issues, interpreting current tax laws and regulations, and advising on tax positions. The role involves reviewing financial statements and workpapers, coordinating with client firm teams to clarify information, and supporting tax planning initiatives.

Accountant will also contribute to process improvements,



mentor junior staff, and help maintain consistent documentation standards across client engagements.

Qualifications

- Strong Tax Preparation and Tax skills with experience handling complex returns for various entity types.
- Demonstrated expertise in Tax Compliance, including federal, state, and local requirements and filing deadlines.
- Solid understanding of Accounting principles and the ability to interpret and reconcile Financial Statements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or EA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive tax accounting experience, ideally supporting U.S. CPA firms or similar environments.
- Proficiency with tax and accounting software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSeries, CCH, QuickBooks, or comparable tools) and robust Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and written communication abilities, with attention to detail and deadlines in a remote setting.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively across time zones.
