Position: Senior VMware VKS Consultant

Client: Public Sector

Location: Ottawa (On-Site)

Duration: Initially until April 2027

Security Clearance: Secret

Background: Kyndryl are supporting a public sector client who requires a Senior VMware Consultant who is highly skilled with VKS and VMware Private AI.

The ideal candidate will also have expertise in Microservices, Kubernetes and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

- Active Secret Clearance with the federal government (MUST HAVE)
- Multiple projects with VMware VKS
- Expertise and experience with VMware Private AI
- Microservices and Kubernetes skills
- Ability to work in office in Ottawa

Expected Tasks

- Design, deploy, and optimize VMware Private AI environments in secure enterprise infrastructures.
- Implement and manage VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS) platforms and container orchestration solutions.
- Architect and support microservices-based applications running on Kubernetes.




- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Lead technical workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and architecture reviews with stakeholders.
- Provide guidance on cloud-native best practices, containerization, and platform modernization.
- Support platform automation, monitoring, performance tuning, and operational excellence.
- Develop technical documentation, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and government requirements within classified environments.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business and technical stakeholders.
